Upgrading CAM software on a Windows machine.

Our CAM server is on a Windows machine.  If you are updating CAM software on a Windows machine do corresponding software changes need to be made to the Sun housing the 2540 array?  (to keep them in sync from a Sun CLI pov)  Would you have to download the CAM changes for SPARC64 and install them on the Sun as well?
