How does LCM calculate FREIGHT using WEIGHT as Allocation Basis?

Hello

I have created a COST FACTOR on EBS R12 using LCM as Pre Receiving

Does LCM calculate the FREIGHT based on the total weight of the ITEMS or how does it actually calculate a cost factor based on Allocation Basis WEIGHT?
