How to stop PO Output for Communication when cancelling the order

Hello Friends

I am in the process of cancelling the purchase order through API and able to successfully cancel those however system is firing PO Output for Communication program for each order. We are cancelling around 1500 plus order and do not want to fire this many programs and also is there any way to stop the worklist notifications as well to the buyer

And also please suggest what additional details I need to consider while cancelling the order

These orders are migrated by mistake
