OS Login to RAC Node takes long time

Hi All,
We observe that OS login to any user at OS level takes long time to connect to server after prviding username/password.
This happens only with RAC nodes. All other Oracle installed servers are behaving normally.
When inquired with UNIX Team, they said that this is due to RAC installed on the server and nothing to do with OS.
I am not sure whether Oracle(RAC) software triggers this slowness in connecting? Anybody has any idea on this?

This is HP-UX  B.11.23 U ia64 2555663616 unlimited-user licens with Oracle 10.2.0.4 RAC cluster installed.
