How to determine if the mpt_sas driver is being used?

The Patches section of the CAM 6.9 Release Notes (bottom of page 8 in the PDF) states that

To obtain patches using Solaris, install Solaris 10 Update 9.
The mpt_sas driver requires these patches:
■ Oracle Solaris 10 10/09 plus patch 142676-02
■ Oracle Solaris 10 10/09 plus patch 143523-02
The mpt_sas driver also requires this Solaris 10 update:
■ Oracle Solaris 10 09/10 Update 9
While the instructions do mention what Solaris patches are required, at a minimum, if the mpt_sas driver is being used, how does one determine whether the mpt_sas driver is being used?

Recommendation:  It would help if the instructions would identify the Solaris platform associated with these patches.
