SYSADMIN User last_login_date

Where SYSADMIN user is showing an actual last_login_date

Is it possible this could be ever be set without an actual person logging in as that user?

Or to put it another way, if there is a last_login_date can we be assured it is ONLY because someone is logging in with that username. 

Just want to rule out any possibility of our seeing a false positive if this is in fact updated by some process or other and not a person.

Sorry, really not sure how to classify the community for this question, nor could I work out how to classify a SR question either. But I'm guessing someone might give advice.
