Unusual Sar % idle figures

I monitor sar -u performance figures on our M4000 global zones, which manage a number of solaris 10 and a solaris 8 branded full root non-global zones.

I have noticed some unusual performance figures recently.

Over the last 2 years, the %idle figure has never dropped below 80%.

I have noticed on a couple occasions - %idle has dropped to 0%.

It has happened on different days and at different times of the day - even on a weekend. No one is admitting running anything on any of the servers yet.

The odd thing is that when %idle is 0 then %usr and %sys %wio are all 0 too.
