Deploying SAM-FS on Infiniband connected storage?

Hi all.

Has anyone ever connected SAM-FS MDS’s and QFS clients to infiniband connected pools of disk? 

My plan would be to present meta-data blocks from SSD out over infiniband to the MDS, present data/userland/cache disk blocks out to the MDS, then present the cache disk blocks out to QFS clients “scaled sideways” as we do with FC now.

I'd then use traditional FC HBA's to get IO out to my tape drives via an FC fabric.

It works a treat in FC land, but I’ve never done it with SAM + Infiniband, let alone shared filesystems with QFS involved.
