Unable to register/load java jre plugin in firefox browser in Linux PC (For accessing oracle apps fo

Help needed to register java jre plugin in firefox in linux to access oracle apps form.
we want to access Oracle Apps R12.0.6 in Firefox in Linux OS (Client PC)
We have installed the latest Firefox version 26 and Java 1.6.0_10
We have also created symbolic links for the jre in the firefox plugins directory but we are unable to load the java jre plugin in firefox.

Followings are the steps we have followed to install firefox, java jre and for jre plugin symbolic link creation

1) downloaded firefox-26.0.tar.bz2 and jre-6u10-linux-i586.bin
2) unziped firefox and jre in /opt directory
