Auto assigning Location to an Asset during Inventory transfer/non inventory PO

How would I go about auto assigning a location to an asset based on whether its coming through inventory transfer or non inventory PO. If its inventory transfer, then it would be the requestor or the inventory org that will receive the item. If its non inventory PO, then it will the requestor or the ship to address. Thanks
