Q: Solaris resource management - DRP (dynamic resource pool) behavior

Hello Experts,

I have some follow up questions regarding CPU resource management on Solaris 10. Can someone pls. point me to docs which provide details about the DRP (dynamic resource pool) algorithm. I have gone through the admin guides and man pages unsuccessfully.

Following scenario:

Solaris 10 guest LDOM w/ 1 x T5-4 core (=8 VCPUs)

Zone1 w/ dedicated-cpu resource, ncpus=1-3, importance=1

Zone2 w/ dedicated-cpu resource, ncpus=1-3, importance=1

Following questions:

Q1: When does poold decrease or increase the number of VCPUs assigned to the Zones ?

Q2: Does poold move VCPUs from the NGZ to the default pool when GZ is under CPU pressure ?

Howdy, Stranger!
