Hi all,

Customer is trying to analyze an application core file, but mdb sleeps with this message :

sivlmwbihbt-root# mdb /cognobim/appli/produits/cognos10/bin/BIBusTKServerMain core

[ sleeping for 1024 bytes of free memory ... ]

It seems that mdb is asking for a lot of memory ( till 12GB ), stops and tries again until 4GB, and then writes the message

PID USERNAME  SIZE   RSS STATE  PRI NICE      TIME  CPU PROCESS/NLWP

20753 root       12G   12G CPU24   10    0   0:00:23 2.1% mdb/1

A few seconds later, when mdb output says sleeping... :

PID USERNAME  SIZE   RSS STATE  PRI NICE      TIME  CPU PROCESS/NLWP

18946 cognobim  528M  491M CPU4     0    0   0:02:09 3.1% BIBusTKServerMa/20

20901 root     4083M 4062M sleep   59    0   0:00:35 1.2% mdb/1

Howdy, Stranger!
