Mobile POS Login Issues

We have multiple issues logging into Mobile POS application,.  We get different errors (server not responsive) or (unexpected error) on the devices.  It does not appear the device is even connecting to the server as nothing gets logged in the logs.  We are also not seeing errors in the operating system logs.  Have checked and ports appear open. 

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this next.
