Unregister Measure

What checks should a user make before unregistering measure.?

Usually for any mace failures , dbcheck is performed and if there is any gem file corruption, it is either reshaped or the gem file is picked from backup server and is used in mace.

However this time for a corrupted measure "the measure was unregistered" due to which all the business input data was lost for the measure and caused major issues.

So are there any guidelines to check before unregistering the measure. like for e.g
- Do not unregister measure that are part of right hand side of "mace"

- Do not unregsiter the writable measure as they are likely to have been updated by Business users.
