"Sales manager" changed automatically in Lead when assigning related account

Hello everyone!

I have created a Lead record and when I set the related Account field, the "sales manager" field is automatically changed to the owner of the Account. Is this a standard functionality? Can I disable it to mantain the previous data of that field?
