adop -validate can't login to database as SYSTEM

Hi,

We have an EBS version 12 running and it's supported by a 12.1.0.2 database.

We are reviewing the document "Patching Procedures" located at https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26401_01/doc.122/e22954/T202991T531065.htm and I'm trying to validate my system for patching by running the command 'adop -validate' on the application node as the applmgr user.

It asks for the APPS, SYSTEM and WLSADMIN passwords.  It then fails because it can't connect to the SYSTEM account as follows:

$ adop -validate

Enter the WLSADMIN password:

Error:
