Approval workflow database error occurs while approving PO.

hi,

There was a user who was trying to change the PO but is getting the below error.

Error: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.

As per the document solution , this applies to version 12.2.4.

Please suggest a solution for version 12.1.3
