How to maintain Link of Serial# with CSO Lines

The problem statement is that we need to maintain the connectivity between the serials and the customer sales order (CSO) lines for which those serials are required. These serials can be received through shipments against internal sales orders or against ASN's. And in these shipments itself the linkage between the serials and the CSO lines is given.

The solution that has been implemented is to use Back-to-Back Internal and external sales order process and in the receiving process which is a customized solution the RTP is being triggered to use the functionality of BATCH_ID to maintain the connectivity between the serials that are received and the CSO lines to which those serials needs to be assigned. The receiving process in our case does the receiving as well as does the reservation update on the CSO line by assigning the serial numbers.
