Cannot login to an oracle database 12cr2 on a windows server 2012 r2 standard, 64-bit getting error:

Hi All,

I have a newly installed Oracle Database 12cr2 on a Windows Server 2012 r2 Standard, 64-bit. When ever I try to login to the database using "sqlplus / as sysdba", I get the error:

"ora-12534: tns: operation not supported".

Please help me find a resolution to this problem....
