Solaris 10 to 11.3 Upgrade - preserve zpool

edited Feb 27, 2019 4:02AM in Oracle Solaris Installation, Booting and Patching (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

I have a couple of older Solaris 10 SPARC systems that I need to upgrade to Solaris 11.3.  The current setup is root on a couple of SVM (disksuite) mirrored disks and a non-OS mirrored zpool on two other disks.  If I install 11.3 on the disks presently used for SVM root can I then make the existing zpool on the other two disks accessible to the new 11.3 system?  There are zfs file systems within the zpool that I'd like to preserve across the upgrade.  What's the best way to do this?

Howdy, Stranger!
