Why do I get -bash: /bin/i386: No such file or directory on login?

I'm running solaris 11.4.16.4.0 on a T8-2 firmware version  9.9.2.a 2019/02/06 11:09. The administration user, the non-root user created at installation time, gives the message:

-bash: /bin/i386: No such file or directory

When I su - to this admin user from root I don't get the message.

There is only sp config along with factory default, listed on the server and this is the current spconfig. This is what the server reboots with, and the server has been rebooted with this config. There is only one spconfig listed on the ilom and it is this config.

The message

-bash: /bin/i386: No such file or directory

Howdy, Stranger!
