What do I need to develop in PeopleSoft for 1099-R IRS forms/files for A2A IRS system?

Hi Everyone,

This might be kind of a high-level question at this point and I need some direction.
With IRS changing the 1099-R/1099-Misc file submission system/format, I am trying to figure out if the existing 1099-R processes in PeopleSoft HCM can be used to generate the 1099-R files for IRS. I have found mixed results on what the PeopleSoft HCM 1099-R process can be used for, that's the first question, because otherwise I would need to create a process for it to generate the 1099-R XML files. We have done this previously for the ACA files, created a custom process to generate the ACA IRS files, so not sure if I have to do the same for
