AWE Emails with CC/BCC

Based on Oracle support knowledge documents - KB430507&page=sptemplate&sptemplate=km-article" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">KB634380 and KB430507 - There is no delivered functionality for AWE/Workflow generated emails to be specified as CC or BCC. We ended up customizing, using the sample MCF peoplecode from Peoplebooks.

Just wanted to start a discussion to understand if others ran into the same restrictions? If so, wanted to understand if there are better alternatives for AWE emails to be specified as either CC or BCC - especially if the number of recipients is large enough to warrant BCC.
