Outside Processing by weight

Hi folks,

We are on EBS 12.2.8 and we currently utilize outside processing in discrete manufacturing. We have a bit of a dilemma that we are trying to solve. I wasn't sure if this is the correct thread, but figured I'd start here since it's mostly regarding billing a supplier.

Our dilemma is this: We have our primary item unit of measure as pieces. We build parts that are counted in pieces. Then we send them off to an outside supplier who plates/galvanizes them. The outside processing supplier charges by pound. Therefore, they are asking us to bill them in pounds. The way we have outside processing setup, our PO UOM are in pieces since the jobs are in pieces. Is there any way to have a conversion so that we invoice the supplier in the amount of pounds they used when plating our parts?
