Can Earning Codes be used in Peoplesoft to assist in Overtime Calculation

In preparation for the oncoming tax changes, we are looking to see if it will be possible to use two separate earning codes to handle the different rates for Overtime and can display that on employees' paystub, and if anyone has been able to setup such a system in Peoplesoft?
