ASCP constrained plan – sourcing rule allocation logic to more than one supplier

Hi all,

I would like to understand the sourcing rule allocation logic in Oracle ASCP for a constrained, optimized plan with "Enforce Sourcing Constraints" enabled, and whether what I'm seeing is expected behavior or a setup/logic issue.

Scenario:

• Item: A (new item with no historical data or open supplies before the planning horizon)
• Two suppliers: X and Y
• Sourcing rule (external suppliers):
  • Supplier X: 70% allocation
  • Supplier Y: 30% allocation
• Item order modifier: Fixed lot multiple = 8,800
• Plan options:
  • Constrained plan
  • Optimization checked (using optimizer)
  • "Enforce Sourcing Constraints" checked so that sourcing splits should be respected over the plan horizon
