Siebel 2025.12 – SMC Error “Unable to create Registry” and Gateway not listening on 2320/2321

Hello
I am installing Siebel 2025.12 and during SMC Step 3 – Set Up Gateway → Create Registry, I get this popup error:

“Unable to create Registry with the information provided.”

In the SMC / AI logs (applicationcontainer_external/logs/catalina.out) I see:
ERROR Discovery: Connection to Registry FailedERROR Discovery: Exception Occurred:: null

This installation is on Redhat linux 7.9 64-bit
