Solution for quality item cannot be determined at the time of PO creation
Hi Gurus,
We receive raw materials from suppliers where the quality grade and final price can only be determined after QC inspection. At the time of PO creation and receiving, this information is not yet available.
We are unable to use Lot Costing for this material because our finished goods are using PMAC (Periodic Moving Average Cost). As a workaround, we are currently using three separate items to represent different quality levels (Low, Normal, High).
Could you please advise on the best practice for handling this scenario in terms of Purchasing and Quality processes?
