Anyone worked on as built configuration report for aviation industry? would like your input.

Requirement is to have as built configuration report for end assembly. End assembly includes multiple levels (subassemblies) and Purchased items which includes serial/lot components provided by supplier. During fabrication of an assembly, serial/lot components belonging to sub-assembly reporting to the end-assembly could have been removed/added due to quality issues. Same removal/addition could have happened for serial items under the Purchased part as well.

Requirement is to deliver as built configuration report for the final product showing the serial/lot data for installed components at their respective stage.

Has anyone come across this requirement and delivered such a report? Would like to get some pointers on how best to cater to this requirement? Thanks.
