do i need to use adcfgclone.pl appsTier dualfs after vm restore with new hostname

we have oracle ebs 12.2.5 with db 12c, my question after restoring to a new vms if we change hostname, apply autoconfig is enough to start oracle ebs services or i need to run adcfgclone.pl appsTier dualfs , kindly with proof on the other hand we can change ips and keep hostnames auto config is enough that is right , we exactly the steps to validate our dell ppdm backup system , as soon as possible we have meeting very soon
