Oracle EBS 12.2.15 Installation Fails with TXK Install Service Error (Missing runInstaller in exampl

Hello everyone,

I am performing a fresh installation of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.15 on Solaris 11.4 (SPARC), and I encountered an issue during the database technology stack installation.

Environment:

  • OS: Solaris 11.4 (SunOS 5.11, SPARC)
  • EBS Version: 12.2.15
  • Database: 19c (via Rapid Install)

Issue:
The installation fails with the following error:

Fatal Error: TXK Install Serviceoracle.apps.fnd.txk.util.ProcessException: IO Exception starting process:/u1/Software/TechInstallMedia/database/examples/runInstallererror=2, No such file or directory

It appears that the Rapid Install process is trying to execute the runInstaller from the database/examples directory, but this directory (or the runInstaller inside it) does not exist in the extracted installation media.
