Clarification on “Exported Text Type Cell Data” Enhancement in Latest Oracle EPM Patch for FCCS

in Hyperion EPM General (MOSC) Question

Hello Community,

I noticed in the latest Oracle EPM Cloud update that there’s a new enhancement:

Exported Text Type Cell Data – When a data form is exported to a spreadsheet, values from Text type cells are exported exactly as entered, ensuring full accuracy and preserving data integrity.

This applies to Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, Planning, and Tax Reporting.

I’d like to better understand:

  1. How to use this feature – Do we need to enable anything, or does it automatically apply when exporting forms?
  2. What exactly changed – Previously, text cell values sometimes appeared truncated, reformatted, or altered during export. Does this enhancement mean that codes, IDs, or custom text entries will now be preserved exactly as typed, without modification?
