Applicant applies to multiple Jobs and is Hired, should application on other jobs update to reject?

We are in the process of testing PUMs 52-54 and PT 8.62.03 and noticed now that when an applicant applies for multiple job opening and is hired under one of the job openings thru the Manage Hires process, the applicant's application status under the other job openings remains as "010-Applied".

I located this document which indicates that the applicant's applicant should be updated, however, it is not currently working in our test environment. When I attempt to click on the pdf documents, they will not open.
