JDK Bundle Patch 12.1.0.2 - Same patch for Database Home and Client Home?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on patching Oracle 12.1.0.2 environments and I have a question regarding JDK Bundle Patches.

I can see from MOS that the JDK Bundle Patch (e.g., Patch 38930616) is labeled “Database Client JDK Bundle Patch”, which seems to suggest it applies to both Database Homes and Client Homes (full client, not Instant Client).

My questions are:

      1.    Can the same JDK Bundle Patch be applied to both an Oracle Database Home 12.1.0.2 and an Oracle Client Home 12.1.0.2 (full/heavy client)?

      2.    Or are there separate JDK patches specifically for Oracle Client Homes that are distinct from the ones listed in the Database patch documentation?
