Sales order issue

We have a issue in ATO sales order configuration

Case-1
user has configured the sales order line 3.1 with 120v heater option, later they have copied the line 3.1 and created the line 4.1 as it is.

Then they have reconfigured the line 4.1 from 120V heater to 240V heater but during reconfiguration we could see that star item BOM chnaged but both the heater 120V and 240 v appearing in the sales order line and apparently in the new star item BOM as well.

is this a seeded behaviour?

Please confirm.
