htmlupload file on stage folder

in Web/Portal Technologies - JDE1 (MOSC) Question

I was reading other artical where it was mentioned that it is safe to delete the tmp folder but on my current setup i am seeing htmlupload folder is also consuming high space on the sevrer. Based on my understanding, this directory is used as a staging location for media object uploads initiated from the JDE web client. When a user uploads an attachment, it is temporarily stored in this location before being moved to the configured MEDIAOBJ repository.Is it safe to clean up files from the htmlupload directory.? If there are any recommended guidelines .?
