Managing Product Versions in JD Edwards

We are currently using Item Cross References to manage Product Versions in JD Edwards. However, R47032 creates a record in F470371 without the Customer Item Cross Reference & the ASN fails during transmission. We're fixing this via SQLs as P47036 is unstable & messes up data when used. Is there any way one can manage Product Versions in JD Edwards?

E.g., Item 01234 has Cross Reference 09876 from 06/01/2026 until 06/14/2026.
Item 01234 is suspended & Item 01234X is the new version of the Item with an active Cross Reference as 09876 from 06/15/2026 until 12/31/2050.
An order 26000001 was created for Item 01234 on 06/15/2026.
R47032 is run on 06/19/2026 & creates an ASN record for order 26000001 with blank CITM as there's no active Cross Reference.
