Assigning New Work Schedule Via HSDL

If I want to assign a group of employees to a new work schedule using the HSDL, do I have to create a new assignment for the employee or can I just create a new schedule assignment? I am guessing I will have to go through the "Worker" data object to accomplish this as the HSDL can only have one object per spreadsheet. Seems like the long way to accomplish this as the assignment for the employee is not changing, just the job schedule that the employee is assigned to.
