Handling multiple student IDs across programs — looking for low-customisation approaches

in Campus Solutions - PSFT (MOSC) Question

Hi all — hoping to get some input from those who've navigated this before.

We have a requirement to store multiple student IDs for individuals enrolled across different academic programs. The driver is integration with a legacy system that will remain in operation — each program has its own ID space in the legacy system, and we need to be able to cross-reference these from within Campus Solutions.

A few questions for the group:

  1. Has anyone handled a similar scenario without resorting to customisation? What approach did you take?
  2. Are the standard National ID or External System ID fields sufficient for this, or do they fall short when you need multiple IDs per student per program?
