Functionality of Promised delivery date in JDE Purchasing 9.2

We are integrating from Coupa to JDE PO for few suppliers, due to Coupa's limitation the request is to use order date as Promised delivery date in JDE PO so if they want to see the actual promised delivery date they need to view it from Coupa. The Receipts are created in Coupa and Vouchers are process in Coupa and then integrated into JDE. Commitments, Job costing and financials are maintained in JDE. In my opinion the promised delivery date must be maintained in JDE as it is in Coupa, the promised delivery date doesn't impact commitments, how about Blanket
