The luxadm display command will only work on FC attached tape drives.

When SCSI-attached tape drives are in play, it's better to revert to the luxadm inq command, which works for both FC- and SCSI-attached tape drives and provides the same information needed for this task (i.e. the drive's serial number).

    Ex : (on a SCSI-attached tape drive)

    -bash-3.00# luxadm display /dev/rmt/1cbn
Error: Device's Node WWN is not found in the WWN list.
     - /devices/pci@8,700000/scsi@6,1/st@2,0:cbn.

    -bash-3.00# luxadm inq /dev/rmt/1cbn
