Are you sure that the email came from the Development environment as opposed to Production? The email notification the user received will contain a hyperlink back to the application. Can you double check the hyperlink to make sure that the server listed there is actually the Development Server and not the Production Server?

yes, check that already, it's coming from Dev for Oct close period.
  • Can you confirm if the soa server is restarted after turning off the emails. The changes will be in effect only after the server restart..
Also, in the em console, right click on soa-infra -> Service Engines-> HumanWorkflow. goto to notification management tab and see if there was any email that is sent after turning off the email notification.

The is the master control to turn off the email notifications and there is no way the soa server would send the emails if this setting is turned off and the soa server is restarted.

    thanks,
    Arun

Yes, the SOA service needs to be stopped/restarted after applying this change.

In the "e-mail from" we have our different environments configured to use a different e-mail address, for example our UAT is CloseManager_UAT@Allscripts.com , test is CloseManager_TEST@Allscripts.com, etc.  Except for Production, then it's just CloseManager@Allscripts.com  - then we always know what environment the e-mail came from.

We do have our Dev, UAT and Test e-mail functionality usually turned off and turn on only when needed, we don't want to accidently blast e-mails to our users from something other than prod if it can be avoided!
