Work Flow or SuiteScript?

Hello Everyone,

I would like to set up a customization for opportunities. When my sales reps open a Quote on an opportunity, I would like the stage to automatically be updated to “Proposed.” Also, When we process a Quote on an opportunity into a Sales Order, I would like the stage to automatically be updated to “Approved."

My question to all of you is: Would it be easier to try and make this customization as a work flow? Or as a SuiteScript?
