XML Import Changed

When I try to import my customer information and sales orders I get error messages about taxItemHandle or taxItemRef elements. When I look at the DTD file it indicates that the following changes have been made:

- added taxAccountRef and taxTypeRef to salesTaxItem
- removed taxCode support

However I am unable to find any documentation about these changes. Is there a document for XML importing?
