Attachments to Send cluttering attachments, broken.

Help!  My sales team is super pissed.  The attachments available for email out of Netsuite have been cluttered by files from the "Attachments to Send" folder.  This was never an issue until the latest release.

From the NS help file: "files in these attachment folders are not available to select as attachments when sending email." but this is not the case anymore.

Please help if there's a quick workaround or something or if you think I should log a formal case.
