Inventory Profitability report regarding items contained in kits

edited Jul 28, 2021 8:02PM in Search / Reporting 14 comments

Currently, if I run an inventory profitability report, items that are sold in kits as well as sold individually are misleading.  I am being given a negative profitability.
Example:  Item A is costs $50.00.  I have purchased 100 of these, putting my cost at $5,000.00.  I have sold 25 of these individually at $100.00, so total revenue is shown at $2,500.00.  Thus I have a negative gross profit despite the fact that I sold the other 75 units as part of a kit.

Is there a way to alter this, so that I can get a better feel for profitability of ALL items??

Howdy, Stranger!
