Multi-select sourcing

I read a few posts about problems with sourcing and multi-select.  Will I have to do scripting to get around this?

Customer Level - Products Possible Parent Level Field - Product A, Product B, Product C
Store Value

Contact Level - Products Possible Contact Level Field
Source List Parent
Source From Products Possible Parent Level Field

Keeps asking me about Source Filter by but there are no options.
