Tracking Packaging

Hi,

We have a requirement to begin tracking the packaging we are using.

The challenge is we often wont know the packing required until the item fulfillment stage. So it can not be added to the sales order, or tracked using a work order.

Does anyone have any good solutions to tracking packaging that they are currently using.

Ideally we would like the packing to be kept in inventory and tracked when it is used so that we can have an understanding of stock levels and report on costs more accurately.
