Best Practice for Item Fulfilment Changes
What is considered best practice for dealing with Item Fulfilments when there is a change / issue (such as a failed delivery rescheduled for the next day or similar)?
I was told on implementation that there is no option to 'close' a Fulfilment (as there is with orders etc.) and we were advised that you should simply change the date of the fulfilment to the following day.
This has two issues:
- It is not obvious when viewing an old delivery that there was a failed delivery on one day, and then a successful one the next day
- It makes the process of printing the delivery tickets (on the second day) more difficult as you have to use the 'Allow Reprinting' option on the Print Packing Slips screen (as the ticket was already printed on the previous day) - which can then lead to many other older unwanted tickets printing.
