Formula to show (Qty Sold+Qty Committed)-Limited Qty Ordered

We produce limited qty editions and special edition items. My sales team would like to have an alert when we are getting close to selling out of these items so we do not over commit to customers. I created a custom field on the item record called Limited Edition Qty. I am having trouble getting a formula to calculate (qty sold on invoices+qty committed on sales orders) - Limited Qty Edition. To me it should be a simple formula. But in the land of NetSuite simple doesn't always work.

First issue is I can't get my Custom Field to show up. Attached is the item set up.
